Clay Birds

In tui class we are making clay birds which have to be native to New Zealand. The bird I choose was a little blue penguin after I made the clay bird the next day I coloured my penguin I was only allowed to use one colour I choose my birds main colour light blue now I only have to colour half the beak black, the foot yellow and the tummy white my clay art is not yet finished but when it is it will be magnificent.Thursday today I redid the blue  then I did the eye black then half the beak then the foot yellow and now it is out drying I just finished doing the white a few minutes ago now my clay bird is finished . Lest we forget

Today I will be showing you my ANZAC day writing with Whaea Shelley.We were writing about how the war would have been like. HERE IS MY WRITING.

As I sit here and think about ANZAC day... I think of the lust for blood in the enemies eyes, the screams of terror and pain, the sobs of those who lost their mates, the explosions of the bombs, the smell of the men, the taste of the dirt, the bloody war, the corpses of the men and then I think lest we forget. THE END

PMI

In literacy, we are learning about finding the author's message. We got to choose 3 articles It seemed like a Good idea, Designed For Good and The Possum Problem all three about pests. I chose It Seemed Like A  Good Idea. The reason the article was written is to tell about a pest problem and its history. PMI means positive, minus/negative and interesting.

P- It warns people about pests It tells us about a problem in NZ

M-people didn't think about the consequences way back then.  They tried to fix a problem with another problem

I- It explains about animal shipping, the history of NZ It explains shipping fever

my maths mistake

Today at School for the week we're doing the orange book  Dallas and i  but I made a mistake the only reason we chouse the orange book is because it was short and all questions and we thought mixed fractions were easy but now we know its hard, me or Dallas  couldn't understand a thing in the orange book and not to mention were didn't go to  the orange book session because when we were late Dallas didn't want to go and when we asked our fellow orange book workers for help they asked us were we were up to we said the first page they said they were ahead of us and didn't help  were we finally decided to write the questions first and answer them later since it was so hard we mucked around a lot Dallas is ahead of me now I know to never underestimate maths again.

My goals for term 4

My goals  for Literacy is to  understand complicated words and sentences and learn to say them.

My goals  for  Mathematics is to learn more complicated equations.

My Athletics goal is to succeed at high jump.
